Railay Peninsula is world famous for many things but none more so than rock climbing. The best Climbers in the world have been making the journey as almost a pilgrimage for years, seeking out new routes among the never ending cliff faces. It has long been regarded as one of the most popular things to do in Krabi. All ages can join in as there are climbs for every age range, even children from 5 years old up will really love this. Some of the most challenging climbs are only 3 or 4 metres high and with the harnesses everything is as safe possible. Children love to climb and will probably beat you to the top. This is one thing that parents and children really can do together as equals.

Although there are some very high difficulty climbs that would challenge even the most experienced and skilled rock climbers, for most people, rock climbing at Railay is just the perfect place to combine relaxation with a little sport. Many of the climbs actually start from the beach itself so between climbs its just a matter of strolling out into the sea for a swim or lay back on the beach for a well earned rest. The reward at the top makes it well worth the effort as you will get to see some of the most incredible views.

The level you climb to and the difficulty can be adjusted to most peoples abilities and desires, but even if only climbing a few metres, it can still be very exhilerating.

The location is "out of this world" stunning. The Rock climbing routes at Railay are safe and well maintained and the teachers and guides are professional and friendly. Whether you are a first time climber or more experienced, you can be sure that you will be taken well care of.

If you really can't get enough adrenalin from Rock Climbing at Railay, then you might want to try Deep water soloing in Krabi, a slightly crazy adventure sport that suits Krabi perfectly. You find a cliff that juts vertically up out of the water, climb it as high as you possibly can, and then jump! The Karst cliffs only found in Krabi and a few other places in the world are ideal for this as the water very deep so you can jump without any fear of hitting anything. A real Krabi Adventure Sport.
